This was the second outing for Fawlty Towers from this society who this time decided to perform “The Germans”, “Waldorf Salad” and “Basil the Rat”.  The set looked great and was well used with the kitchen area to stage right. The crew worked hard between scenes to keep the flow of action going. As last time there was a large supporting cast for the 3 episodes with some players having multiple roles, all of which were filled well.

The lighting and sound were good and this time we had the theme tune to the show which just adds to the experience. The costumes and props worked well and were in keeping with the era.

Luckily for the society most of the original players returned to their original roles but there were a few changes.

Dom Pastore again played Basil. The episodes chosen were varied to allow Dom to show off his vocal ability as Basil and the mannerisms so associated with this character. Another job well done.

David Long put in another super performance as Manuel although there was less to do in these 3 episodes he worked well with the other players. Jane Pearson played a great Sybil again and chastised Basil relentlessly.  These three actors all looked more comfortable in their roles this time around and carried off the parts with many laughs from the audience.

The role of Polly was played by a different actress this time but Emma Fairhurst put in a lovely performance and seemed to fit nicely with the other players.  Martin Taylor did a good job as Terry the chef playing it as a bit of a London geezer.

The supporting cast all played very well and the direction was well thought out and put together.

Another job well done.
