I do enjoy a good comedy and this was great. When grumpy Arthur dies, he finds that he is still in his own house. Well played by Eddie Done, Arthur meets his guardian angel Simone (Maxine Crook) who has been sent to decide where he goes next. Meredeth who is angel in charge tries to explain what has happened. This angel is well acted by Chris Wynn, again with really good vocals, you are a joy to listen to. Fun begins when the family arrive. Arthur tries to speak to them not realising what has happened. Daughter Angela (Natalie Quinn) who looked after him turns up with sister Sandra Baxton (Nicola Walsh) and her money-grabbing husband Steve (Roger Quinn). He, thinking that money will soon be coming his way, arranges an estate agent and buyer to view the house . Playing Martine, a real dizzy estate agent was Suzanne Smith. A lovely characterisation. Sarah the prospective buyer , turns out to be a medium, well played by Barbara Lewis. Of course she senses something in the house . The seance that she conducts is hilarious. However with another death not far away, another guardian angel Joshua is sent to work out `Is it to be Up or Down` Tony Meehan gives a nice performance in this part. I loved his and Simone`s outfits, very groovy!!!
With an imaginative set which extended into the audience , good sound and lighting. I am sure everyone enjoyed the evening. Thank you for a most enjoyable night.
