This was  a  really  funny play with a laugh a minute. The construction of the set took a few moments to work out that the set on stage was both upstairs and down   Gran was in bed upstairs trying to hear what was going  on in the downstairs lounge.   Sandra Blyth   gives  a great performance as the all hearing gran.

When the daughter Tracy played by Megan Morgan found that she was pregnant,  she had to tell her parents and her boyfriend Bobby. Gran is of course the first to guess and tries to give some advice.

However, having a  hyperchondriac  father  Idris, who overhears  Tracy and mother Elsie talking, he  jumps  to the conclusion that they are talking about him and he hasn`t long to live. Laura Roberts was well cast as Elsie, Tracy`s mother as was Jordan Rising as  Bobby  the boyfriend.

Trouble  soon  rears its head with the help of gin as their neighbour Maisie (Dianne Pepper) shows her true feelings for Idris, well played by Ian Duckworth. There was a great scene as she chases him around the room, hilarious.

I must compliment Elliot Longworth as the young son Jeffery. Without speaking,  he  was so funny by his actions, knitting, as  he sat ladylike, listening to  his mother Maisie and Elsie talking . Well Done.

Misunderstandings, not least with gran, brings a hilarious ending. A great evenings entertainment.

Thank you so much for your kind invitation.
