I was very pleased to be invited to the Society’s Annual Family and Friends Concert at the start of their 2014 North East Tour. When attending a Concert one can never be sure what to expect but, knowing the society, I expected quality entertainment. I was not disappointed as the Society and individual members treated us to a variety of numbers from their past shows. This was an excellent evening of enjoyment which I for one thoroughly appreciated.
The Society takes this Concert on Tour as a prelude to and a fund-raiser for their forthcoming Autumn show “Scrooge” the musical. The opportunity is taken of course to sell tickets in advance. How many other Societies demonstrate their talents so positively? I was also pleased to present the Society with the K&M Thornhill Trophy in this years Programme and Poster Competition for their programme for “Anything Goes”.
