RMDS Ringwood Musical & Drama Society once again treated us to a great night out with Ringwood's Summer Show, Ex and Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll. During the evening you get to see 3 different productions as you move round with your group. Each interval there are nibbles and drinks available from the bar.

This year's title was Ex and Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll. Each show lasts about 40 minutes, they have been thought out, rehearsed well, and you can tell everyone is really enjoying their part in there show. Ex, Director Rich Bennett, along with MD Jane Lee & Choreographer Natalie Stradling, have a great selection of songs sung by strong singers with some dance movement. It's set around love, break ups and Ex partners, showing that life goes on and the heart can be mended. The set was simple and very effective. The MD Jane was great switching between instruments accompanied by Patrick Lee. I really enjoyed this selection.

Drugs, Director David Kehoe, along with Choreographer Beth Larry and MD Matt Timmins with percussion by Jamie Timmins, also have a great selection of songs, and dance routines, set in a hospitial on the night shift, with weird things happening, Drugs available for the staff to get through their shift. Which they all ditched in the end. Some of the songs had been re-worded which made them fit the idea and this was funny. The comedy jokes also good. The set was great.

Rock 'N' Roll, Director Jenny Elward, MD & Keyboard Erin Bruce and Choreography by Jenny Elward and Daisy Irwin. This one was set in an American Diner, very good set you really thought you had entered a Diner. Great selection of feelgood songs and dance routines. One of the guys wanted to chat with one of the girls, but he kept chickening out, but they got together in the end. Great story and strong singers & dancers.

A great night of entertainment, something for everyone. Well done to you all.
