I feel the plot of Aida needs no introduction to opera lovers, this updated version by Elton John and Tim Rice was new to most of the audience. As their interim show WBOS like to present shows that are not performed very often or new released small company shows.

The show had some very strong principals led by Tasheka Coe singing the lead role of Aida  opposite her was Lyndon Flavell as Radames they sang their solo's and duets well, but music needs to heard several times to be appreciated. which I have listen to since. We had a good character from Andrew Foggin in the part  Zoser., with Oliva Jones singing the part of Amneris.

The costumes made by the socities wardrobe misstress enhanced the production, minimum scenery was required but it worked well.

The rest of the company was made  up of Soldiers , Slaves . Egyptians and Nubians

Thank you WBOS for a most enjoyable night's entertainment an introducing me to a new show.
