Dundee Scout Gang Show 2024

Wow Wow Wow… it was feel good entertainment from the minute the curtain opened at Dundee Scout Gang Show 2024.

The Gang were on form with a fabulous selection of music, costumes, and confidence in abundance.

Flying High from the opening number with a selection of Ralph Reeder classics, the first act was ‘simply the best’ with sections from the beavers, expert at encouraging the audiences to get on their feet, while the cubs took us on a spooky journey with a kaleidoscope of characters in superb costumes. Finishing with a Broadway Spectacular that left the appreciative audience excited for more.

In Act 2, The Gang kept up the energy delivering each number with charm and positivity addressing differences in Pride of Scouting. A particular favourite of mine was the James Bond medley, in a captivating rendition the classic Bond themes were performed with seamless transitions. 500 miles took us on a tribute through Sunshine on Leith and after the hilarious ‘Cheap Flights’ Sketch we hit the Finale ending on the crest of a wave.

Each year this company just get better and better, they have a fantastic support network backstage, and the vibe is electric. The Production Team excelled themselves, the wardrobe team are slick and attentive to detail, the lighting was colourful and fantastic, and everything was centred around the cast having the very best week, and it paid off in abundance.

Well done Gang! Best wishes to Paul Thomson who stepped down as District Chairman of the Gang Show Team.
