Written by Peta Duncombe, this certainly was an unusual pantomime. It was a highly entertaining production full of energy, fun and musicality. Not only that, but the sound effects were excellent, the costumes were delightful and the dance routines were attractive. The seating at this theatre means performances are almost in the round which creates problems regarding the scenery. Rory Duncombe's set was remarkably good as it fitted the bill very well. The technical arrangements were in safe hands and I congratulate those who were responsible for the costumes and the make-up. The band's accompaniment was very pleasing. There was strong confident singing from the main members of the cast, energetic dance routines, a delightful Vampyr Hound, the evil Countess Vampira and her comical henchwomen, and a rather hefty Dame among other notable characters. It was all very enjoyable; great entertainment.
