A Five Star theatre performed Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the story of young Belle who takes her father's place in the beast castle The Tale unfolds as Belle learns to love the Beast.

This is a large class cast with Castle Roles of  Enchantress/Silly Girl (Frankie Rose), Madame de la Grande Bouche (Amy Murphy), Lumiere (Beth Raithby), Cogsworth (Jordan Trubshaw), Mrs Potts (Michelle Goode), Barbette ( Brogan Gerrard), Chip (Harry Woodward).  Chips roles with costumes were cleverly done, Mrs Potts showed the warmth of the character, Lumiere was excellently characterised,   The whole Castle Cast were very well cast and brought the characters to life. I enjoyed watching them all.

The Village Principle Roles of Gaston (Matthew Burns),  Lefou (Joel Tytler), Maurice (Stuart Esworthy) were also brought to life in both vocally and singing ability and stage presence.

The Beast (Ciaran Dempsey) it is not easy showing all sides of a character when hidden behind a mask, but this did not seem to be an issue for Ciaran  and Belle (Hattie Stark) portrayed the heroine of the story, Belle does not get a chance to rest throughout the performance, the characterization, movement and vocals were well done, showing all sides to the character. Both enjoyable characters.

There was large ensemble with some smaller speaking roles which were all characterized..The Choregraphy was excentlley done by all.

The sets and costumes were superb for the village and into the castle. They were all very effective together with lighting all over a very enjoyable evening.

Thank you for inviting me.
