A faithful copy of the 1988 film with Michael Caine and Steve Martin, this was a top drawer production bursting with energy and enthusiasm from the dynamic lead players through to a most supportive chorus.  Impressive performances were in abundance and good vocally throughout.

Jack Draper as Freddy Benson gave an hilarious, at times outrageous,   side- splitting performance as a `get-rich-quick schemer` , a tour de force.  Dave O`Neal as Lawrence Jameson was equally effective as the resident scoundrel, and proved  a perfect foil to Freddy,  suavely extracting money off vulnerable women.  Their scene with Jolene Oaks,  played by Anna Cousins, (a superb cameo, and what an accent), was perfect comic mayhem.

Ross Lowe as Andre Thibault, was  terrific as Lawrence`s   aide-de-camp, and his scenes with Liz Woolley as Muriel Eubanks ,  an American  heiress, were perfect with super comic timing and great chemistry.Sian Scattergood playing Christine Colgate,  was the final link in this chaotic jigsaw of a show.  She gave  a  very confident portrayal, her singing and acting excellent, suiting the part perfectly.

The rest of the  cast, actors, dancers and chorus,  gave strong support, responding well to Tom Watkins  the Musical Director, and Gemma Haigh`s  choreography.  Costume and set worked well with competent lighting and sound.

Patricia Church`s   production was received well,  congratulations on her debut with LEOS.
