Dirty Dusting, a comedy by Ed Waugh & Trevor Wood, is based on three office cleaners who have just been told they will be made redundant by their boss, as he wants new younger women to work there. They decided to get their own back and make some money by running a sex chat line over their last weekend. What follows is a very funny play that keeps the audience entertained.

The set is a simple office that works very well, sound and lighting are good. Directors Laraine & Bernard Dunleavy have an excellent cast for the play.

Elsie, played by Sara Woodley, is good in her role. She's not happy about losing her job. Gladys, played by Tess Kazim, is really worried about how she is going to live on just her and her husband's pension. She has some great lines. Olive, played by Michelle Turner, is also not happy but comes up with the idea of making some big money over the weekend as she has a credit card machine from a business that she runs. She gets the others to agree to running the sex line.

Gladys really is not up to it, but as the boss Dave, played by Tim Maskell, comes into the office saying how much he is looking forward to seeing the back of them, once he leaves she is keen to join in.

What follows is a very funny, witty play, with good pace; the audience were laughing along to all the antics. The funniest bit was Dave coming back into the office to get the vacuum cleaner after 'Madonna' Gladys has taken a call from a guy saying he was getting one and would call back. It just so happened that Elsie had put their vacuum into the cupboard at the start of the play saying it wasn't working any more. What happened next made the audience roar with laughter as Madonna takes the call again and the vacuum blows up off stage and Dave returns with ripped cloths. As it's all been taped they are able to keep their jobs.

Well done to you all.
