This Company has a good reputation for producing good quality Pantomimes and this was no exception. Paula Curtis had again Written, Directed and Produced this family friendly Pantomime which has been “on tour” at a variety of venues. It is not an easy task to adapt the show to different venues and everyone is to be congratulated on their versatility and commitment to entertaining their loyal audiences.

A rousing start to the Production set the tone for a good paced, traditional Pantomime with all the best features of “Panto” covered throughout. We were encouraged to shout “ pull your socks up Jack ” to Idle Jack played confidently by Charlie Couchman and to boo Queen Rat, interpreted well by Mandy Hall.Geraldine Brown as Dick Whittington looked at ease in this pivotal character and her vocals with Alice played by the experienced Ciara Curtis were excellent. Bernard Kennedy as Sarah the Cook, showed great comic timing and Alison Thornton as the Sultana of Morocco, commanded the stage.

Choreography by Paula Curtis, Alison Thornton and Tia Norris was entirely appropriate for the different scenes. The costumes and accessories were first class. I particularly liked the dramatic outfits worn by Queen Rat and The Sultana of Morocco.

Congratulations to Mac Curtis for Soundtrack Editing and Programing and to Phil Downie, Performance Sound Technician for their important roles in moving the story along. It was a bonus to hear live music also from the experienced Mandy Palmer, Accompanist.

It was evident that all members of the audience, young or more mature, enjoyed the performance.I reiterate that this Company is to be encouraged to continue to bring Theatre to many areas of the Community.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable evening with you.
