Dick Whittington

A fun production especially for kids of whom there were plenty in the audience thoroughly enjoying the experience and taking part with relish in all the audience participation.  The cast were lead by a vivacious Principal Boy (Emma MacEwan), an engaging Cat (John Pearce) who "pawsed" the show to tell us what was going on, a spritely Dame (Jocelyn Cook) & Idle Jack (Janet Darwin) taking care of the comedy, a very rounded performance of Captain Cockle (Dee Dawson) & King Rat (Annette Brunton) the epitome of evil & well booed by all the kids. The rest of the cast had their moments with a good dancing troup of youngsters boding well for the future.  The scenery, costumes, sound and lighting added to the enjoyment not only of the actors but of the audience.  An entertaining production.
