It's aways nice to visit St Paul's as they always treat me so well. Thank you.

This year it is Dick Whittington and it travelled along nicely, but very slow in places, mainly because some lines were slow in coming forward One has to remember….you the cast have to know your lines backwards. Sam and Mel directed this cast with that in mind I feel sure. Putting all that aside, there were some very nice moments and some good acting from King Rat, Robin Selmes, “Pull your socks up Jack.” No need to, you were perfect in this part - very funny well done Sally. Dolly Dumpling an ample dame by Andrew Soper. Nick Swain was Alderman Fitzwarren and he ruled over all. Comedy pairing of Captain Cutterfish (Esther Murphy) and Scupper (Steve Manning) were in control of their funny schemes and bounced off each other - well done you two.The love interest of Dick and Alice: these two actors were perfectly cast, giving us the LOVE. Jon Selmes is good on dialogue and acting and he looks very confident and he certainly ruled the roost and he and Alice (Breanna Gardiner) looking and sounding good on both acting and singing - a nice voice too. Splendid coupling. Praise to these young actors. Perfect. Fairy Bowbells popped in now and again and lit up the stage (Kathy Milner) - you sparkled. Supporting actors were Tom (Janine Davis), Ratlings (Colin Parker and Lorraine Camp), Sultan of Morocco (Derek Elmore). Others in the cast backed up this cast were Guards (Linda Crawford and Sharon Divers), also Emma Everitt, Marion Marshall, Clare Watton, Joseph Shar, Karen Dowen-Cloughton …oh and Keith Jackson had to get in there!!  Sam and Mel Directors of this Dick: it was directed well and, along with your MD Chas and choregrapher Irene, you brought us a nice afternoon. Stage Management headed by Lily and Al Dollimore was class. Wardrobe was executed with attention to detail by Eleanor Hall, Ina Perry and Balneaves. Props and drops by Andy Soper, Steve Manning and Jon Selmes were also class.

Well done to all in this Dick Whittington. Thank you for inviting me to review.
