This was another very excellent pantomime by this very strong theatre company full of all the ingredients that a good pantomime requires.
The casting in all roles was outstanding no mean feet when so many main principals are required. Chris Hall as King Rat and Melanie Stephen as Fairy Bowbells both gave superb performances guiding the show along in fine style. Georgia Jones gave us a charming Alice Fitzwarren acting with a most pleasing style. Olivia Griffin was a most attractive Dick Whittington who has a very natural stage presence singing and acting with total confidence. Alan Sykes is made for the role of Alderman Fitzwarren his stuttering way of delivering some lines was very amusing as were his tongue twisters. Lisa Parkroft as Lazy Daisy worked her socks off to provide much of the comedy which she did with a most pleasing way. Gareth Jones was a very likeable Dame Dolly Dumpling his costumes were outstanding he did the dame role very well a change for him this year. Evie Munslow was a most likeable Tom the Cat she played off Dick in a most endearing way. All the remaining smaller roles were played in the same high standard.
The stage direction was very good as was the choreography the junior dancers were all briliant. The show was well costumed and the panto was much enhanced by excellent stage sets and good sound and lighting.
