We arrived to meet a full house for this popular pantomime and a good set ready for the opening chorus.  Popular Jo Chadwick was an excellent Fairy. Lauren Bunce was very good as Dick, and was well supported by an excellent cast in the form of Jon Wray as Sarah the Cook,  Sammy Finn as a lovable cat Tommy and a charming Alice Fitzwarren played by Lily Roberts. Peter Hawkes gave a good cameo performance as the Alderman Fitzwarren. All the other principal parts gave their all and were rewarded by some hearty applause from the audience.  I loved King Rat played by Louis Lee Warner and his troupe of ‘baddie rats’ especially good their number “Best at being bad”

The   village people were excellent,  giving lots of energy and enthusiasm to really lift the performance. The rest of the chorus  numbers were put over with gusto, and the dancers also, were well worth a mention.

The costumes were good and I must congratulate the excellent troupe of juniors, well disciplined and full of fun and energy.

Well done Stowmarket, and congratulations on being nominated for an award at this year’s NODA  Awards Ceremony.
