Deep and Crisp and Even

~~This company always produces an entertaining evening of choral music and this was no exception. They give the audience a marvellous evening of excellent musical performances and I felt it was the perfect start to my Christmas.
The assorted series of Christmas songs was cleverly woven together by the Hostmaster, Roger Rixon. This was an ensemble show and no one performer should take the lead over another, the team essence was evident and the overall balance superb. Difficult as it was to pick out particular carols my own personal favourites this time were “Calypso Carol”, “The Candy Man” and “Santa Baby” in the first half and “If I were not upon this stage”, an extremely funny rendition, in the second.
Director, Avril Pinkney, kept great control over all the performances well backed up by pianist, Chris Hyson. What an evening! A big thank you to the whole company for another superb seasonal celebration of music all of extremely high choral quality! Congratulations everyone!
