This extremely funny whodunnit by Bettine Manktelow, was soundly executed by the Marlowe`s in Suzi`s well directed production.

An amateur drama group are busily rehearsing for a play at an end of the Pier Theatre  when, after being locked in by the caretaker, a series of murders take place, making you wonder how many of the cast would live to tell the tale. Needless to say the plot has wonderful unexpected ending.

There were excellent performances from the whole cast, all thoroughly deserving the ovation from the audience at the final curtain.    Mike Asprey and Sue Orme played married couple Martin and Sylvia.  Playing her bit-on-the side Alex, was John Freeman, who in turn was living with Linda, Julie Campbell.  All four gave consummate performances and were very believable.

I liked  Wendy Beric, giving  a most funny rendering as the batty Moppet.  Harry, the down to earth Caretaker, was well played by Max Roberts, and finally Claire Wade as Ginny, the Assistant Stage Manager with Emma Tocker-Booth as her friend Sandra ,  both gave sterling support.  I particularly liked Emma`s death scene, most hilarious.  All in all a good quality production that maintained the Marlowe`s high standard.
