Uncle Ted lives in a very large house on his own.  His nieces sometimes came and visited him as young children.  They are all grown up now so the only company he has is butler, Seymour and Seymour’s son Jack.  One evening when Ted is alone his niece creeps up on him and hits him with a pan causing him to fall to the ground.  Is he dead?  So, with his passing the house is transferred to his nieces Joy and Cruella, but Cruella wants it all for herself, so she tries to remove her sister by employing actors to play ghosts not realising that the house is haunted.  Joy’s daughter Jill has her own reasons for staying in the house as she has fallen for Jack.  Who will succeed and what has really happened to Ted?

Cruella and Joy were played well by Charlotte Gough and Charlotte Ham.  They were well supported by Matt Windsor as Joy’s husband Fred.  The pairing of Charlotte Farmer as Jill and Ben Walker as Jack worked well, and I particularly enjoyed Kieran Banner as butler Seymour.  William Heath as Uncle Ted once again gave a very good performance.  With fifty-five members on stage I cannot mention everyone, but all this company pulled together to ensure the audience had a good night’s entertainment.

There was a good choice of music and it was great to hear so many harmonies.

I really enjoyed the Potter’s Wheel scene from Ghost.  Expertly done and very funny.

Scenery was effective and the costumes were of a very high standard.

This was a first class show which the whole of the cast and crew should be proud of.
