It is such a delight to see a company do a cabaret and Carnoustie have raised the bar again. This production was slick, well put together, full of surprises and a delight to the senses. I am always pleased by the opportunities these events give to the company, a chance to have a solo, a chance to do some comedy and a chance to move as a well-choreographed whole. This year a new dimension was added with a junior chorus. I love to see the joy on the faces of children performing and they performed with their hearts. All stars in the making. They appeared in three sections, School of Rock with Gavin, Made in Dagenham with the adults and Joseph with Kevin. Well done to them.

The programme was varied and as I have said previously included opportunities for solo parts. All the soloists performed their ‘piece’ with confidence and style. I especially enjoyed ‘Ex Wives’ from ‘Six’ and sorry folks I was singing along during ‘Motown’, Shows Medley’ and ‘The American Songbook’. A special mention to the ‘Twa Daves’ for performing a ‘Two Ronnies’ style sketch, very funny. Also to Roger for making the raffle such fun and thanks for the wine.

The company singing was of a high standard and the movement was well rehearsed and polished. Well done to the production team.

Thank you Carnoustie for an entertaining evening which highlighted the talent in your company and provided a platform for children to participate. As usual your hospitality was outstanding and I was made very welcome. Looking forward to seeing ‘Made in Dagenham’ and popping into a rehearsal soon.
