Joint Directors Mary Gallacher and Jenny Mayor were a great success combining their creativity to bring out the best from a very talented cast. Cinderella (Fiona Proffitt) the down trodden daughter gave  a very creditable performance.   Baroness Hardup (Carol Gallacher) was suitably wicked as Cinderella’s stepmother.  The two daughters Grizelda Hardup (Keith Thomas) and Mona Hardup(Paul Prebble)  were outrageous as the ugly sisters with all the comic moves and innuendoes. Fairy Godmother (Denise  Hodgkiss) with her acting, singing and comedy ability was magnificent.Trainee Patsy (Sarah Goddard) displayed her many talents in a very comical way.  A very funny Buttons (Andy Roe) kept the audience amused encouraging them to partake.  Prince Charming (Malcolm  Fisher) a part usually played by a female was the epitome of  the handsome Prince well supported by Dandini (Jason McCann) who also gave a very good performance. One of the highlights were the complicated moves of Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Dandini and Buttons which was hilarious and brought the house down, and was much appreciated by the audience.

Musical Director Bob Good enhanced the show and joined in the fun.

Choreographer Jennifer Baxter drilled the cast and chorus well.

Stage Manager Chris Morley and his team gave excellent support to the production.Lighting designed by Eddie King assisted by Lucy Conway was very effective and brought the whole show to life enhanced with Mike Wheeler’s sound design and operation.   Worthy of a mention was the magnificent Fairy Coach that appeared at the end of the first act it was really beautiful. The whole show was entertaining and certainly got everyone in a festive mood and was very well received by the audience.

Well done to all the cast and chorus.
