This was a really fun-filled evening - there were some hitches but this was the first night and I'm sure the pace picked up during the run.  All the characters were there with Sian Clare as a lovely Cinderella, working very well with Buttons, her ardent admirer played by Mandie Fairhall who gave the character all that was necessary, making us laugh and encouraging the audience to join in. The whole story was told well. The two characters I must also mention were Gertrude and Grizelda, the daughters of Baroness Hatty Hardup and real thorns in the flesh for poor Cinderella.  They were played by Tori Grant and Judith Foot, giving really super performances, always over the top as they should be and looking absolutely fabulous!  Peacehaven are really fortunate in being able to use the dancers from Harlequin Studios.  These youngsters were so professional and their dancing wasa delight to watch.  There were some nice effects, particularly the transformation scene which was lovely.  Well done to all back stage in whatever capacity.  The band, consisting of Joshua Winstone and Mikey Parsons made an ideal sound.  The Players are to be congratulated for bringing some Christmas cheer to Peacehaven.
