A pantomime should have lots of fun, excitement and audience participation, and this one certainly had all three.  From the opening scene at the office of ‘Fairygodmothers.com’ to the liveliest finale I have seen in some time, the audience loved it.  Ellen Nicholls as Cinderella had a wonderful singing voice and The Fairy Godmother (Sarah Mitchell) was a joy to watch.  Sharron Burn’s production was like a fast moving machine, but we would expect nothing else from this very talented lady.  She even found time to join the chorus and participate in the very funny ‘Twelve days of Christmas’.  There was good support from Reg Morgan (Baron Hardup) and Neville Leedham (Buttons).  Dandini and Prince Charming (Charlotte Chambers and Ruth Stretton-Burns) were as charming as ever.  Roger Rowlands and Mark Atherton were the comedy duo Grabbit and Snatchit.   I really enjoyed the woodland scene with the children as furry animals in it and the sister’s boudoir scene where we were treated to some hilarious goings on from two wonderful ugly sisters Gorgon (Darrell Burns) and Zola (John Nicholls). Well-done Ladies, sorry guys.  Even though the script was not that funny the cast really made this panto.  With a wonderful set and fantastic costumes this panto was sure to be a hit.  The orchestra, under the direction of Brian Hirst sounded really good and just at the right level.  Well done CWAGMS.
