Mel Sacre, your crazy idea way back came to fruition, and I'm so glad it did. You, along with your Musical Director Lucy Nash and Choreographer Sam Manser Mullin gave us a very traditional pantomine. I've seen so many Pantomimes this and last year and yours had all the right elements - fabulous!! I've seen Snow White with no small people, Beanstalk with no golden eggs and those pantos were just not pantos for me. But yours at the Playhouse was.

Your team of lighting, sound, wardrobe, construction, stage management (Amy Harrington) - too many to mention idividually - but they served you well, and I'm glad you are proud of them, I'm sure they are of you Mel.

I loved every moment from beginning to end……Cinderella (Grace Longstaff) and Prince Charming (Theo Bawtree) were your love interest and what a coupling that was, both could sing, dance and act to perfection. Buttons (David Manser-Mullins) - what a buttons he is, working his audience every minute, he got them on his side and a Buttons that has great presence while on stage: well done David. Gertrude (Emily Doye) and Grizelda (Edward Evans) bounced off each other amazingly and were naughty as ‘Uglies’ should be, working Roger (the poor man in their audience) - he sure got the wrath of their tongues as he should in true Uglies fashion. I don’t know who was in the horse, but whoever you were you were great. Dandini (Hannah Honey) looked great and had a presence on stage - perfectly cast. Fairy G (Lucy Lawson) opened the show as the good fairy and she was pefect in this part. It's always difficult to open and Lucy took it her stride giving us a heads up to what is about to happen. Excellent. Now Bodget (Gemma Conway) and Legget (Maria Hawrylow) - this coupling rasied the roof for me so so funny. Loved the walk Bodget. They worked these roles to a T, also appearing in dance routines - phew!! Baron Hardup (John Dennis), Chambers (John Hanson) and Baroness (Marion Clayton) - all played good support to this fabulous cast, as did the troup of dancers and chorus players. Sam and Lucy gave us great dance routines and excellent choral work and the costumes, set, sound, lighting and props were of a high standard.

Mel don’t stop - give us more!! Thank you Lindley Players for giving me and your audience a superlative and professional evening at Cinderella.
