The pantomime "Cinderella" remains a beloved classic, and this production delivered a delightful experience that was both joyful and entertaining. The talented cast of young performers showcased an impressive range of skills, from singing and dancing to engaging acting that kept the audience captivated throughout. Written by Murray Keir and Craig Inglis-McDonald, the updated storyline was presented effectively, allowing both new and familiar fans of Cinderella to appreciate the classic tale with a fresh twist.

Amelia McDonald shone as the Fairy Godmother, bringing a lovely, gentle presence that resonated with the audience. The fairies also brought their own charm to the stage; Fairy Twinkle, portrayed by Grace Todd, Fairy Glimmer by Sophie Docherty, and Fairy Sparkle by Keira Hutchison all delivered excellent performances that added a magical touch. Emma Lochrie, as Cinderella, and Giacoma Sassi, playing Prince Charming, blended well together and brought their romance to life. They both excelled in their roles, making the audience root for their happy ending.

Lola Punton and Max Adams, as Baroness Skinto and Baron Skinto respectively, portrayed their characters well. The ugly stepsisters, played by Kayden Wier and Olivia Regan, were standout performers, delivering an excellent partnership marked by impeccable comedic timing. Their interactions with the audience made their performances even more engaging, showcasing their capability to entertain on multiple levels. Ella Gillespie as Buttons and Jorgie Allison as Zippers brought a lot of fun to the stage, receiving well-earned audience response each time they appeared. Their energetic performances added a light-hearted flair to the production. Sonny Ferguson's portrayal of Dandini was great and he contributed to the overall strength of the cast.  Jack Haldane and Emma McCulloch, in their roles as King Donald and Queen Melania, effectively captured the nastier aspects of their characters, further enriching the comedic landscape of the show. Supported by a fantastic group of Gal Pals and a hard-working ensemble we were thoroughly entertained by this very talented group.

With the combination of a simple but effective set, great lighting and sound this production flowed with ease. The production team, Craig-Inglis-McDonald and Murray Keir, Directors, Cat Clark Musical Director and Amy Carrigan Choreographer ensured that all aspects of the stage work were well done. We experienced excellent singing, choreography and staging. Overall, Cinderella was a fantastic showcase of talent, humour, and heart, making it a delightful experience for audiences of all ages. Well done to everyone involved in bringing this beloved story to life!
