Overall this was a very colourful production and praise must go to the set design and build team for creating the sets and scenery. The costumes on the whole were good and complemented the characters although I would have liked to have seen Buttons in more fun type costume and the Ugly sisters in dresses and wigs more in keeping with the period that was being portrayed. Everyone however came into their own come the finale in the outstanding display of wonderful costumes.
There were some very good performances. Fairy Godmother (Becky Spiegl-Watson) gave us a lovely strong character and her singing was good. Cinderella (Grace Hall) gave a lovely performance and also had a good singing voice. Buttons (Ross Cryer) was very good and worked well with Cinderella. The ugly sisters of Chantelle (Amber Marwood) and Chardonnay (Bryn Marwood) worked well together but often I couldn’t hear their dialogue. Prince Charming (Romy Smithson) and Dandini (Gemma Lea Roadknight) complemented each other well. Everyone played their parts well the enthusiasm came across to the audience especially in the sing-a-long complemented by the great band.
Well done LTC.
