This production was exactly what we come to expect from this talented near professional Company. There were colourful costumes, appropriate sets and most of all very well cast principal players.

We opened on the Village square where the chorus come in bursting with life with some rousing numbers including “Its a Holiday”  and “Loud”. We then are greeted by the two ugly Sisters Rubella and Salmonella played with gusto by Paul Leech and Neville Woolnough – a great double act, they would do well in “Britain’s Got Talent”. The wicked step mother was right bang on character by Hazel Watts.  An excellent Buttons who led the audience in the usual fun was Neil Thorpe.

One of the children’s high lights was their rendering of Ugly Bug Ball – terrific!

Two characters not usually seen in this pantomime added to the fun were Bitz and Bobs, Carl Friar and Mary Mutimer.

Of course the main characters Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother and Dandini were all excellent played by Josie Temple, Ellen Goldsmith, Jo Rayner and Charlotte Lamb.

As you can gather this was a most enjoyable evening and we thank this friendly society for the entertainment and for the hospitality given to us.
