What an uproariously funny production of Cinderella was served up by STAMP for the pantomime season. It was a laugh a minute throughout as the cast threw themselves with tremendous verve and gusto into the show. Yes we had all the usual pantomime elements with the community singing, the "he is behind you " and "oh no we didn't" sequences, the slapstick scene and all, that comes with panto's but it was the sheer joy of the cast in what they were doing which came across the footlights and drew the audience into the show.

Under the young and talented directorial team of Christopher Perry, Rhys Chambers and Anna Fail ( who doubled up both  on stage and behind the scenes) along with their fine production team  it was a pleasure to watch. There were a few glitchs and some adlibbing and  "corpsing" by the cast but that is what panto is all about - FUN.  As for the cast, in general ,they were excellent, and the Principals in the shape of Emily Wright (Cinderella) Dandini (Anna Fail) Daniel Shilling and Adam Tait (Banidormin and Magalfia the Ugly Sisters) Ethan Cameron (Baron Hardup) Adam McKeith (Buttons) Amy Whitehead (Fairy Godmother) Christopher Perry (Herald) Leonie Reay (Prince Charming) and Emily Wright and Rhys Chambers Vinney the hapless villians) were the epitomy of their characters.

The singing by soloists and chorus was first class and this was matched by some fine sound, lighting plots  costumes and scenery. In paricular Cinderella's  glass coach was a joy to see and drew gasps of delight from the young people in the auditorium.
