Christmas by Candlelight

In the setting of the brightly lit St. Edithas Church Tamworth MTC together with their youth section staged this wonderful concert.  I said that last year’s could not be beaten, but how wrong could I be. Playing to a sell out and indeed a full church, this society had another hit on their hands from start to finish.

The company, both senior and youth including their junior youth, presented hymns, readings and short play-lets telling the Christmas story.  Everyone was involved.

There are too many highlights of the evening to mention, but I feel I must mention Chloe Whitelaw singing ‘The Greatest Love of All’, what a wonderful voice.  Also Dylan Reed and the Youth Company Boys singing ‘Stand By Me’, they sang so well together.  At the end of this wonderful night the whole company, together with their audience sang ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’ 

Congratulations to each and everyone who took part in this event, either on stage or behind the scenes and I am looking forward to next year.
