It's was a warm summer evening when we arrived with our picnic and chairs, finding our spot for the night to watch the play as Sway's first outdoor production.

Cheshire Cats is a comedy drama following a group of friends from Chester who have entered the London Moonwalk raising money for breast cancer.

The play starts off by introducing the five main characters, each have their own reasons for taking part in the walk. Hilary played by Tess Maxim is the bossy leader of the group, Vicky is flirty played by Sandi Cox, has some funny moments.

The other ladies are Siobhan played by Lisa Siuda, Yvonne by Sara Woodley, and Maggie by Claire Collins. They each play their characters very well. All the ladies have their own moving monologues. Andrew played by Larry Robinson joins the group for the walk as Vicky's boyfriend, much to Yvonne's protest, and dresses up as one of the girls to match in with them all. They all change their minds about him and appreciate his help.

There are lots of comedy moments along the way with some smaller character parts that have some great lines, especially Madge played by Hazel Gibbs and Ethel by Christine Penfold, marshalls, time keepers and I liked the Handsome Drunk, Alex Harwood, who has a great singing voice playing a convincing drunk.

Lighting and sound good, and the costumes were bright and fun.

Well done everyone who took part.
