Coventry Youth Operetta Group performed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The story follows Willy Wonker looking for someone to hand the reins to. A competition that the lucky winners of a golden ticket get to enter his factory, and Charlie Bucket is one of the lucky five,  a poor boy whose life is about to be transformed as they step into the imaginative world of the Chocolate Factory.

The principal cast consists of Sam Edwards as Willy Wonka, Sam played the part excellently with characterizations and vocal abilities. Sam has excellent comedic timing and was very charismatic.

Jaxon Drage as Charlie Bucket, it was also excellently played. Jaxon showed Charlie's kind and sensitive nature and had great interactions with all.

Cabe Jackson was Grandpa Joe, who charmed the audience, together with Grandma Josephine (Marleigh Pinnock), Grandma Georgina (Isla Coleman) and Grandad George (Cyaden Lindop)

 Mrs. Bucket was lovingly, played by Maddie Davis  showing a gentle nature and had a beautiful singing voice.

The remaining lucky golden ticket winners of Freddie Graham as August Gloop, his mother, Mrs  Gloop (Ruby Thomas) Sofia Boddison as Violet Beauregarde her Father Mr Beauregarde (Josh Bourne), Evie Keen as Vercua Salt her father Mr Salt (Antonio Boddison, Joseph Hallam as Mike Teavee his Mother Mrs Teavee (Martha-Mae Brown)  all performed very well and characterized and performed each shining in their individual parts.

The remaining principal cast of Darcy White( Mrs. Green), Amira Parke (Cherry) and Zachary Carless (Jerry)  were all played very well.

The ensemble, together with the principal cast, performed well. The choreography was excellent, and all performed to a high standard. The costumes were fantastic, and the set and lighting were fabulous a very enjoyable evenings, entertainment.
