A warm welcome awaits everyone at a Circle Players production and this one was no exception.
The production is set in a local park which contains some trees and park benches and tells us about a day in the life of the park, sometimes funny, sometimes not. We were treated to nine scene’s each showing different people using the benches throughout the day. Each scene showing a different aspect. One lady on her own, two older ladies, two young people working out life and a wonderful tramp who keeps taking the things left on the bench. I have to say I particularly enjoyed the two old ladies, Cissie and Dora (Anne Troman and Carol Joy), the two younger people (Max McNaughton and Amy Tregellis) and Clive Barlow playing the wonderful tramp Mr. N. Great performances also came from Clair Tregellis, Matt Round Julie Sadler and John Richardson. Additional support came from Jean Kerby, Margaret Jeffcoat and Taylor Johns.
The set looked really effective, even down to the leaves scatted across the stage.
This was Becky Lucas-Smith directing debut and she should be proud of this play.
Many thanks for the invite and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
