I was so excited to be invited to this show. I have seen it professionally and so knew how difficult it was with so much dancing and singing. No worries. This society gave a stunning performance. The audience were mesmerized as we were treated to such a vibrant and exciting show.
Cats tells the tale of a group of felines, The Jellicles, meeting to choose one of their members to go to the Heaviside Layer and return to a new life.
Directed and choreographed by Louise Cohen, the young cast were in stunning costumes and beautiful makeup. Together with a well thought out set and fantastic orchestra, it was obvious we were in for a great night.
Sam Cain was a magical Munkustrap. His singing and dancing was of the highest standard. Ben Whitehead gave a smashing and very funny performance as Rum Tum Tugger. Em Cohen and Joe Foster were brilliant as Rumpleteazer and Mungojerrie.
The two sang and danced together brilliantly. One of the most beautiful performances was that of Katie Ball as Grizabella. Her rendition of Memory was outstanding.
The most acrobatic cat to be found was Mr Mistoffelees superbly acted by Daniel Law.
Everyone on stage gave 100% it is impossible to name everybody, you were all so very good. My congratulations to all the production team who must have worked so hard getting this high standard of performance.
Thank you so much for a wonderful nights entertainment.
