A truly iconic show which Trinity Players did proud.
Matthew Collins (Billy Bigelow) and Naomi Keeley (JulieJordan) led this company from the front and were well matched. Matthew really brought out the broadness of the role. There scenes together worked well, both sang and acted well
Olivia Geldard as Nettie Fowler had a good stage presence and her rendition of 'Youll Never Walk Alone' made the hair on my arms stand on end. Jessamy Ashton as Carrie and Dan Holyhead as Mr. Snow also were well matched. Daniel had only joined the company three weeks previously but you would have never known.
Some nice cameo roles as well, including Jon Hall as Mr. Bascome and Keiran Corrigan as Jigger, and it was nice to see Andy made use of every member in the company. The Snow children worked well together and you could see how much they enjoyed performing.
The chorus sung and danced well. Some very nice harmonies.
Costumes looked good and the production had some good scenery. My only criticism is that some of the scene changes were a little long.
The Well balanced orchestra, under the direction of Peter Bushby, sounded good and did not over power the performers on stage. Leigh-Ann James did a sterling job with the choreography especially the ballet scene. This scene, in act two, performed by Colleen Curran was well done and done with ease.
The Production was directed by Andy Weeks. This was the first show he had directed and hopefully it will not be his last.
