This musical by Learner and Low survives the test of time mainly when an excellent production team are assembled together. This was certainly the case with this production. The principals were superb. King Arthur ( Gavin Tyrrell) Lancelot (Andrew Would) Merlin ( Malcolm Curtis) Mordred (Chris Campbell) and the usual comedic interjection by the experienced Peter Hall as King Pellinore and Morgan Le Fey ( Paula Curtis). The performance of the night came from Stacy Houldsworth as Guinivere, she was delightful both vocally and in her stage prescence. All other minor principal roles were well covered and the chorus added to the show. The set was imaginative and the costumes authentic to the period. The music was provided by members of the Blackpool Symphony Orchestra and a superb addition they made to the show. Finally to say what an original cover was on the programme.
