The decision to perform a play instead of their annual musical offering was a very brave move for this Society . . . but it paid off, for the company played to Full Houses! It appears that stripping off one’s clothes on stage is the way to financial success! Tayport’s ladies all seized the occasion by performing this funny, heart-warming play, which also has a serious and dramatic theme running through it. The cast must work as a team and cast off all inhibitions when the “moment” comes for the photo session. TAMS’ ladies threw themselves into their roles and peeled off in requisite style amidst lots of laughter from the audience. So it is full marks to the six ladies who, each stripped off with ease and brought their own individual style to their character - Annie Bottoms (Chris), Susan Robertson (Annie), Vicki Bowman (Ruth), Rhona McCallum (Jessie), Anita Kay (Celia), and Gwen Teppett (Cora). Having to keep their clothes on was Carey Normand (Marie), Heather Malloch (Lady Cravenshire), Jenny Wilson (Elaine) and Jackie Rennie (Brenda). The men also play integral roles in this show and, although their stage appearances are very brief, they do bring an important part to the story. So, well done them! In fact – well done to all involved with the production for it was carried off in fine style bringing out all the humour and pathos brilliantly.
