All the hard work that must have gone into this production certainly paid off as Bugsy was certainly another success for Lewes Operatic. Excellent principal players - Jimmy Haggar was a very smart Bugsy and Oscar Morgan gave a very good characterisiation of this gangster. Dominic Rawson played the role of Dandy Dan in a very laid back fashion which was ideal. Very good performances by Maddie Taylor as Blousey and Raphy McDavitt Lowe as Tallulah and Hari Hamid was a super Fizzy. Jessica Evans and Lulu Freeman were a really comic pairing as Captain Smolsky and O'Dreary. All those in both gangs, the many other smaller parts and the chorus all acted their socks off and sang and danced with gusto, obviously enjoying employing the splurge guns and custard pies! There were lots of people behind the scenes and everyone involved deserves congratulations on working so well with all these young people.
