Sitting in the auditorium of the Playhouse, Whitstable on Saturday night gave me a sense of feeling that theatre is back.
‘Bravo' is a celebration in two ways. One a celebration to be back and two a celebration of 75 years of live theatre, and Bravo to the Lindley Players! We were given a great evening of nostalgia from the start of their 75 years. An evening of monologues from some of their past plays. Music from musicals, comedy from pantomimes, and a rousing ending from their Old Time music halls. With professional use of videos from the archives. Lindley’s Mr Don Coles guided us through Bravo with seamless links in this perfectly structured piece directed by Peter Bressingham, Peter Hunt and Lucie Nash. Far too many of you to review each piece, but all of you worked so hard and looked so happy doing it!!!
Well done and congratulations on 75 years of the Lindley Players. It was an honour to celebrate with you.
