It has been almost four years since Hebden Bridge Light Opera Society last performed one of their Cabaret shows and tonight showed just how much we have missed them.  Joining them in concert was the Hebden Bridge Junior Band, they opened the show and also the second half.  One of the boys was so small we could not see him over the music stand until they stood up to take a bow.  There were three solo items each one executed perfectly.  The soloists were the cream of the crop, Gerry Wheatcroft performed the wonderful "Parlami d' Amore, Mariu".  Anne Woodhouse delighted everyone with her "Laughing Song" from Die Fledermaus.  Ian Moorhouse delivered "If I Never Sing Anothder Song"with great feeling, and Phoebe Smith sang "Far From the Home I Love" from Fiddler on the Roof, beautifully.  They had good backing from all the other principals the duet "Bring me Sunshine" just to name one. There were three dancers from 'MADPA School' performing several different types of song and dance, from the duet "My Name is Tallulah" from Bugsy Malone through to ballet, each one a delight to watch.  The whole company was immaculately dressed as usual, a credit to Eileen, along with the set, beautiful sparking drapes lit to perfection.  The comedy came in the form of the Compere David Williams and the accompanist was David Root the Musical Director.  What a show, everything you could wish for in one nights entertainment..  .
