A nearly full audience was in attendance for this excellent play. All gasped at the correct points and were thrilled with the performances and direction.
This cast were well chosen and rehearsed. I mention them in order of appearance. A cheeky but gullible maid, Miss Wells played by Kelsey Mackenzie opened up the first act. We then met a very distraught Jonathan Harker (Steven Dunbar) and a concerned father Dr. Stewart portrayed by Jim Shaw. Enter Abraham Van Helsing a powerful determined Douglas Smith and then Callum Baker giving a great performance of the madly demented R.M. Renfield. Our final characters are Butterworth (Dan Large) the asylum attendant with issues, the sweet and wonderfully frail Lucy Stewart (Rachel Williams) and finally the character we all know, Dracula, played with every ounce of menace by James Callahan. You all made this production the super entertainment it was. A great deal of dialogue well leaned!!
This play was carefully produced with the set, lighting, costumes and sound giving it a star quality. Well done to the young backstage crew, the hardly heard prompt and the technicians.
Looking forward to seeing more of this quality of production in the future. As always thank you for your excellent hospitality.
