From the opening scene to the last one, this production kept everyone on the edge of their seats.  The scenery and back projection were a technical hit for the production and gave just the right atmosphere for this show.  With good lighting and costumes this offering could not fail to impress.

The set used was also impressive and well built.  The car was well built and I also have to say that the petrol pump looked very real.

I had never seen this production before and the beginning reminded me of ‘Blood Brothers’ where the show ended where it started.  We were then introduced to the young Bonnie and Clyde, Callum Lapham and Evie O’Malley and if their performances and singing was anything to go by the sell out audience were in for a good night.  They were joined on stage by the adult Bonnie and Clyde, Sophie McCoy and Tom Cooper. Both of these two actors led the company well; they really got into their roles and sang well together.  They were well supported by Janine Henderson and Dan McCloskey as Blanche and Buck Barrow.  Again, a very good pairing.  These talented actors were complimented by Jayne Lunn as Emma Parker and Faye Hatch and Ray Lawrence as Clumie and Henry Barrow.  Paul Atkins who played the Preacher had a great voice and played the role well.  Good support came from the ensemble.

Emily Armstrong should be proud of this production.

Thank you for the invite.
