Oh, my word, Richard you took seven adults and told them they had to be seven years old, and they go berserk …. literally. This short play brought back loverly memories for me, I could have been one of those 'boys’ way back. It’s not easy to play younger than oneself as it is to play older than oneself. What a lovely play this is, and you Richard did it proud. From the start it kept its momentum, and your seven actors were doing a splendid piece of theatre. It’s a wonder there where no accidents on stage, everything on stage was expertly fight co-ordinated by Ed Tunningley and Scoundrel - a huge job for them but so clever to avoid mishaps. Perhaps there were but we your audience wouldn’t have noticed anyway. A very nice open stage gave the actors plenty of room to throw themselves about and they did ...I was exhausted just sitting in my seat, their energy was suppurative!

Actors Sophie Chittenden as Angela, Ben Jones as Willy, Rohan Kumta as Peter, James Manning as Raymond, Carol Morris as John, Kim Robichaud as Donald, and Katie Sparks as Audrey. Three dancers also gave us expertly placed scene changes, these being Isabelle Hill, Norah Cooke, and Holly Manning.

Blue Remembered Hills is a credit to Richard Andrews and his cast for giving us such a well-directed piece of theatre and your actors were a credit to you. Thank you for inviting my assistant rep and I to be entertained so well, we can both remember those times in the country playing games and being naughty playing outside, does it happen now? No. We are always welcomed well by the Arden and your cleverly constructed programme was very informative.
