Within minutes of the start of this pantomime, it became clear that we were in for a great nights entertainment. Ian Dean-Boardman was excellent as the heartless prince who turns away an old crone . She casts a spell on him turning him into a Beast .He eventually finds love that breaks the spell. Kimberley Riley-Shipperbottom was super playing Belle, having a lovely voice and strong acting.. It was wonderful to see the change in the Beast as he starts to love Belle and she falls for him. .Great performance. Coral Cameron, as the old crone who turns into a charming fairy starts the show with a great rendition of the song Beauty and the Beast. All the audience includ ing myself laughed at the corny jokes especially when the Dame, Dotty Do-It-All appeared . Ryan Smart-Stanton was brilliant, costumes and makeup were superb.I was so impressed with the way he engaged with the children . This show proved to be a laugh a minute. We howled at the antics of Daisy the cow. Megan Pimbley and Leah Greaves, were the back and front. You were hilarious. I loved the appearance of four pints of milk (say no more).!!!! George Rae playing Raggins was one to watch in the future, super performance. The two sisters Dora and Flora, (Cheryl Rigby and Nicola Walsh) ensured that laughs came thick and fast. Their costumes had to be seen to be believed, wonderful. It would be remiss of me not to mention Dusty and Mr Cog,(James Stevenson and Hughie Brogan) both well cast in these parts. This was such a great show, All the musical numbers were well thought out as were the sets and magic tricks. Everything was just right. Finally, having such a smashing childrens chorus made for a brilliant evenings entertainment. Thank you
