Bright, colourful, and with very imaginative touches, made for a most entertaining pantomime. I am always impressed by Kaleidoscope that everything needed for their productions is provided `in house`. Set, costumes, props, special effects and the script by Webster and Bradford. The set was good, with the highlight being the transformation of the prince to the beast, most effective. The ultra violet lighting was used to great effect in the `crockery` dance.
There were some good performances especially from Ellie Thornewill as Belle, complimented by Natalie Weetman as Prince Louis. A strong impact was made by Matt Chell as the Beast. They were well supported by the rest of the enthusiastic cast and young chorus.
A very competent music duo completed a polished production. An excellent start to the pantomime season.
