Beautiful Game is set in Belfast and features a local youth football team at the time of terrible trouble in Northern Ireland.
The show its self is not easy to enjoy due the subject matter but you could see the company put a lot of time and effort into making the show.
The whole cast did very well with the Irish Accents which is not an easy task to do.
The principle lineup featured a verity of talent and all performed well.
Father O’Donnell played by Pete Herring was very well played and gave a lovely performance throughout.
Christine played by Danielle Boughey and Bernadette played by Lucy Jane Baillie both gave excellent portrayals of the Characters and showed the emotions of the characters.
Ginger played by Aaron Evan, Daniel played by Tom Browning, and Del played by Mark Mo Haycock were lovely character’s and well portrayed. Thomas Malloy played by Julien Carrouche sent chills down the spine and was a sinister well played character.
Luke Bingham (John) together with Gracey Spring (Mary) were outstanding both individually and jointly and you felt their happiness and their sadness through the show and they certainly took you on a journey and were an absolute pleasure to watch.
All the accents by the cast were maintained to a high standard which is not an easy job to do.
The scenery, costumes and lighting worked very well within the show. The choreography in this show added greatly to the overall performance.
The show featured real images which really brought home this is all based on real life and is very thought provoking but you are left with a glimmer of hope.
