From start to finish this farce had everything, a good story, great cast and an attractive set. It certainly reminded the older audience of holidays to the seaside staying in one of `those` B&B`s,

where  the landlady  certainly was in charge.  Taking  a   holiday to celebrate their first year of marriage,  hoping  to have the same room where they spent their honeymoon were Mr and Mrs Pepper. Glad to be on their own , they were surprised to find her parents arrive

The landlady Mrs Austin was played by Carmella Horne just as could be remembered as the power struck landlady of years ago, a smashing performance. I loved the sounds of her chasing the cat  after it had stolen the food from the kitchen. Mr and Mrs Pepper were the lovely newly married couple played by Gary Holliday and Trisha Shorten. Well done Gary on your first time ` treading the boards` Howard Clare and Margaret Parkinson gave great performances as the parents Joe and Clara. Into the boarding house arrive dubious Louise Smith (Kim Toth) and Syd Collins (Bert Halliday) who turn out to be light-fingered thieves.

The performance of the night was Emily Sung who was brilliant as Florrie, the `maid of all work` chasing around trying to do all the chores and returning from any time away from work  convinced that she has found another new boyfriend. It was hilarious as she is convinced that any man who looks at her must fancy her. The last member of the cast is  the mysterious Miss Windermere well played by Debbie Eustace. What is she doing at the B&B.?  No, I am not going to reveal who she is. Go and watch this funny play.

Thank you for your kind invitation and most entertaining play.
