This is the first time I have seen this romantic comedy, set in 1960’s New York, the story follows a newly married couple, and their tiny Manhattan apartment.

The set was great and very believable I really thought I was in the tiny apartment, complete with skylight in the living room, small bedroom and smaller bathroom on one side and front door and stairs on the other, there was lots of detail with the set and there was even snow falling through the skylight in the second half which was very funny.

Michelle Arkle and Shawn Condra (Corrie and Paul Bratter) shone in the two leading roles. They worked very well together as the newlyweds with some great emotions that made for some very funny moments. The audience and myself  laughed the entire evening.

The supporting roles by Di Buck and Neville Green added more humour to the evening's production. As the bewildered Mrs Banks (Corrie’s mother) and over-friendly Victor Velasco, the neighbour working very well together.

There is a small cast in this production and everyone played their part very well. The director Phil Rainforth did an excellent job with this play. Well done Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society, I had a great night and you could tell everyone in the audience did too. This was my first visit to your Society and I very much look forward to seeing you all again soon. Well done.
