Set in the final year of the graduating class of William Ocean High School, this fast moving musical featured a list of well known 80's songs which had the audience singing along to with this talented bunch of young people.
Callum Bryne as Corey Senior narrated the story as he looked at picture from his album and through the eyes of Corey Junior who was played by Dylan Mullholland who had a great singing voice. I look forward to seeing him in future productions. Zack Hayes gave a solid performance as Michael Feldman, the most popular boy in school and was well supported by Cameron Simpson as his side kick Billy Arnold. It was good to see Cameron acting along side his sister Anna.
Sam Cox gave a good performance as Mr. Cocker and worked well with Georgia Taylor as Miss. Brannigan. Also giving a strong performance was Harry Chamberlain as Feargal and Kishan Sambhi as Alf. I also liked the performance of Dylan-Jak O'Dwyer the youngest member of the company who took on various roles. Loved his Yoda. Molly Ewins came over well and had a fine voice. I would have liked to heard more. Also giving a good performance was Holly-Mae Nelson as Eileen.
One of the company who stood out for me, had a great voice and stage presence was Maddison Clarke as the girl next door, Tiffany Houston
All of the cast worked well together and you could see the cast were enjoying themselves.
Director Adam swift and Musical Director Chris Corcoran created a high class show. The band, who were at the back of the set, sounded good. With colourful costumes. The set was wonderful and was well lit. A well staged production.
