Another fun filled panto from Willingdon Church Players.  The hall was decorated with pictures of trees and garlands of leaves which, together with the inventive scenery, took us straight into the village near the forest where the babes were going to get lost.  The babes, George and Georgina were beautifull played by Adam Howard and Deanna Cornell and we all enjoyed following them in this well loved story.  The villain of the piece was Chris Tucknott as Poison Ivy and Poison she was and Fairy Snowdrop (Annabel Simes) used her magic to makes things alright in the end.  Canon Martin Onions was the Sheriff's sidekick, Sir Vile de Vil (a well named character) and he, together with the Sheriff (Malcolm Gallini) and the Hapless Herald (Jeremy Rowett), made a great trio.  Breanna Hyde was a very good looking Robin Hood with Lucy Sarsfield as the charming Maid Marion - a lovely pairing and both in very good voice.  The rest of the case gave great value, with Paul Martin as Nursie to the children - a great Dame.  The evening included some delightful dancing and Robin Hood's men and the whole chorus were in good voice, with excellent support from the musical accompaniment.  Lots of work was carried out behind the scenes and it's always good to see some of the backstage males having a spot in the limelight!
