This was what I can only describe as a joyous production - good fun from beginning to end with a talented cast who were obviously enjoying every moment of being on stage and with Cole Porter's lovely songs and the enthusiasm of those involved, it was certainly an evening of cracking good entertainment. The set was ideal with the Band on board the S.S. American, enabling the stage to be extended over the orchestra pit. All the principals were well cast with lots of cameo parts contributing so much to the whole thing. Everyone was in character (including the Ship's Crew and Passengers) and the whole cast were extremely well dressed thanks to the costume ladies. The singing was well rehearsed with clarity of words (so important) and there was a good sound from the Band. The choreography also worked well with three young ladies from Seahaven Dancing School adding to the dancing with their tap routine. Well done to Director Tony Betts and all involved.
